Good day Teachers!


As you can see, we have some new facilities set up for calling the students.

Our operation is run by two Internet Service Providers (ISPs) such as PLDT and GLOBE.

Compared to the previous set up, this current set up is designed for us not to miss a class except for some circumstances which are beyond our control.


Here are some pointers that you have to remember about the new set up and during emergency cases.


1. All computers are connected to GLOBE. Thus, using the Eyebeam and opening the OME website is run by GLOBE. Whilst, all phones which are connected to the gateway (modem) are wired to PLDT. In short, both operations are totally independent from each other and that they can work separately. The good thing about this is that we can call our students even if one ISP is disconnected.


a. In case PLDT failed (meaning the phones are disabled), you can directly shift to Eyebeam installed in the computers and proceed with the class.


b. On the other hand, if GLOBE failed (meaning the website and the Eyebeam are disabled), you can still call the students using the phones and your back up schedule. Hence, it's a must for all teachers to secure a copy of an updated schedule everyday. Teachers will be held responsible for failing to call the students due to unupdated schedule or unavailable back up schedule.


2. Keep in mind that the Eyebeam and the phones must not run at the same time. Please make sure to close the Eyebeam when using the phones and vice versa.


3. Occurrence of busy tone is definitely a problem on our side so please don't assume that the student's phone is busy. If this happens, please transfer to another station to carry on the class and get back to your own station once the class is over. We strongly encourage all teachers to utilize the phones instead of Eyebeam.


4. Don't panic. When you get disconnected, please try to be calm and use the other available facilities to keep the class going. If you have to transfer from one station to another, please do so. You can use some vacant stations or MyLg. Please try to refresh the connection of the disconnected ISP by turning off and turning on the modem for a couple of seconds. Presence of mind counts.


5. Feedback. Please let me know about the student's feedback regarding our new set up. Kindly take some time to ask your students about their comments or problems regarding the new phones for us to understand and take some actions to address such dilemma.


The administration is trying its best to deal with each problem and to improve our facilities. We apologize for the inconvenience. Surely, we do appreciate your cooperation and support. Thanks for bearing with us.
