Good day teachers!!

We're going to have our first project for this year. As usual, I'll be assigning some teachers to work on a new module and some materials that we'll be using to train newly hired teachers. We're going to open a new course called TOEIC writing. For those who will be assigned to work on this module, I'll be sending you a sample copy of the book and all you need to do is to follow the pattern of the questions. I assure you that it's very easy to make. One week is enough to finish this project actually. What you need to do is to find pictures and topics which are appropriate and enticing for the students. I'm thinking to assign a level for each book so students will have a sense of fulfillment once they finished one level.  Here's a sample outline:

TOEIC WRITING TEST

Q1-Q5 => Writing a sentence based on a picture

Q6-Q7 => Responding to a written request

Q8      => Writing an opinion essay

Basically, the book is divided into three parts. In the first part, there are specific directions that you must follow in creating the book. You can see what I'm talking about in the sample copy that I'm gonna send you. Please just keep the rules and be creative in doing the book then you'll be on the right track.

In addition, three teachers will be assigned to help me make the training materials. But the work may still be distributed to other teachers as the need arises. This project might be laborious because it needs much time to do researches since I want this material to be complete and comprehensive. Here's a draft of the outline. The topics are still subject to change.

III - Skills in Handling Classes, Teaching Strategies

IV. Giving Comments/ Corrections

V. How to Be an Effective Online Teacher

I'll be asking your idea regarding the topics. If you have something in mind, please feel free to share it so we can make it really useful.

The deadline for the Toeic writing is on Monday, March 5, 2012. Please comply. As for the training materials, there is no specific date for now. We'll see as we go along with the project.
