Good day teachers!
Here are some of the pointers that you must remember in making the comments:
1. Please avoid making too long or too short comments for the day. Appropriate length, substantial and useful comments are the ones needed and preferred by the students.
2. Don't repeat the sentences that the students made. Instead, write down the corrections for the student's mistakes in all areas especially in sentence construction. Please bear in mind that the 'sentence construction' part is the most essential part of the comments.
3. Include all the corrections mentioned during the class in the comments so that the students can go back to them and be reminded. Corrections given on-the-spot are good but they will be even more useful if written down in the comments for reminders.
4. Don't send the comments too early or in the middle of the class. It should be sent a few minutes before the end of the class or right after the class.
5. The subject of the comment should be title of the lesson studied for the day if you're using a module. On the other hand, if you're having a free talk class, the topic discussed during the day should be the title of the comment.
Below is the revised pattern for the comments:
1. Today's topic
2. Sentence construction
3. Pronunciation, Expressions, Vocabulary
4. Other comments
5. Next topic and Homework
